Supporting Foster Care Youth

Right now, thousands of children in Maryland's foster care system are growing up without the stability, support, and love every child deserves. Too many youth age out without permanent families, move between multiple placements, fall behind in school, and lack the resources to succeed. These aren't just statistics—they're our children, and they deserve so much better.

Improve outcomes for older youth

These reforms won't happen without sustained advocacy and political courage. The foster care system has been broken for decades because it affects our most powerless community members—children without political influence, often from marginalized communities, who can't vote or donate to campaigns.

I'm committed to being their voice in the legislature, fighting every day for the funding, policies, and systemic changes that will transform foster care.
